LucasArts' Dark Forces 3D action-adventure series continues with this release of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. The game's title refers to its hero, a fallen Jedi named Kyle Katarn.

Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. But now as a new and menacing threat to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save his future. Though he no longer enjoys his Jedi status, Katarn remains one with the force and has learned to make good use his special powers.

As in earlier Dark Forces and Jedi Knight titles (For PC), combat is a major aspect of gameplay in this release. The game runs on a modified version of the Quake III engine and creates fitting atmospheres with naturally curved surfaces and state-of-the-art lighting effects.
