Legacy of the Force

Star Wars Saga Timeline:
40.25 ABY

Forty years after the Battle of Yavin a dangerous new era in the Star Wars epic begins–the revelations are shocking, the stakes desperate, and the enemy everywhere.

As civil war threatens the unity of the Galactic Alliance, Han and Leia Solo have enraged their families and the Jedi by joining the Corellian insurgents. But the Solos draw the line when they discover the Corellian's plot to make the Hapan Consortium an ally - which rests upon Hapan nobles murdering their pro-Alliance queen and her daughter.

Yet the Solos' selfless determination to save the queen cannot dispel the inescapable consequences of their actions that will pit mother against son and brother against sister in the battles ahead. For as Jacen Solo's dark powers grow stronger under Dark Lady Lumiya, and his influence over Ben Skywalker becomes more insidious, Luke's concern for his nephew forces him into a life-and-death struggle against his fiercest foe, and Han and Leia Solo find themselves at the mercy of their deadliest enemy. . . their son.

Civil war threatens the unity of the Galactic Alliance. To ensure financial stabillity, the Alliance wants more control in the powerful Correlian systems. This involves control over the Centerpoint Station, a powerful artifact that is capable, in the right hands, of destroying entire planets. The Correlian systems desire more independence then the Alliance is willing to let them have.

Han and Leia Solo anger their families and friends by allying themselves with the Corellian insurgents. The Solos draw back from that alliance when they discover a plan to make the powerful Hapan Consortium an ally. Namely by murdering the pro-Alliance queen and her daughter, long-time Solo family friends.

The Solos race to solve the situation and save the intended victims. Neither the queen or her daughter are killed but the Solos are now the number one suspects in the attempt.

Meanwhle, Jacen Solo's dark side powers grow stronger under the Dark Jedi Lumiya. As such, the Galactic Alliance Guard, which he commands, grows more powerful and corrupt. Lumiya is encouraging Jacen to make a sacrifice, by killing an important family member; this would 'balance the Force'.

Jacen's influence over his potential apprentice, Ben Skywalker, grows stronger.

Various characters come together over the conflict. Luke finds himself in his own Dark Jedi fight. Han and Leia, on the run, literally come under fire from their own son, who is commanding the Star Destroyer Anakin Solo. They barely escape with their lives, though the Millenium Falcon is shot clean through and Leia's friends, her two Noghri bodyguards, are killed.
